Safer Sleep Week (11-17 March)

This week is #SaferSleepWeek The campaign aims to raise awareness of how to provide a safe sleep space for babies and highlights the risk factors which can contribute to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

 

There are certain co-sleeping risk factors, including: 

  • co-sleeping with a regular smoker 
  • co-sleeping on a sofa
  • co-sleeping after consuming alcohol or drugs
  • If the baby was born prematurely or had low birth weight
