Online Safety Bill set to become law

The Online Safety Bill is set to become law, helping to protect young people from harmful social media content. The Bill passed its final Parliamentary debate on Tuesday 19 September and is now ready to become law.

 

This major milestone means the government is within touching distance of delivering the most powerful child protection laws in a generation. This is a big step in the right direction but it is still really important to talk to children and young people about what they see and do online, and instil a healthy relationship with the internet from a young age.
