Autism Understood

Last updated by charlotte.lang@essex.gov.uk on Wednesday, March 13, 2024

Autism Understood is a website about autism, for autistic young people.  It has been designed for, and in collaboration with, autistic young people, but it's also useful for autistic adults, parents, family members, friends and the wider community too.

When young people are told they are autistic, they are rarely told what this actually means. Professionals and parents are invited to courses and have tons of resources aimed at them, but not the young person being diagnosed. This is a place where young people can find reputable information about autism.

This website has been produced by Spectrum Gaming, a registered charity along with many other people with a wide range of experience.
