The Southend, Essex and Thurrock (SET) framework can help organisations ensure their staff have appropriate domestic violence and abuse training, commensurate with their role. Correct training will give those working with victims, families and perpetrators the confidence to provide an appropriate response to disclosures ensuring that the victim/survivors and perpetrators will be supported and signposted to suitable services, increasing safety.

COMPASS is the new point of access for victims of domestic abuse across Southend, Essex and Thurrock; providing information, advice and guidance and where appropriate assessment and access to specialist services.
COMPASS provides information, advice and guidance to the public and professionals who have concerns about family and friends and people they work with who may be victims of domestic abuse.
The service is accessible 24hrs a day. Callers can speak with a trained member of staff and there is also an online form for both public and professionals wishing to make a referral via the website.
